EBOO Therapy at Florida Integrative Medical Center
One of the nation's earliest and most experienced providers of EBOO therapy.
Advanced physician-supervised wellness therapy integrated into personalized care.
For more than two decades, Florida Integrative Medical Center has helped patients pursue better health through a personalized approach that combines primary care, functional medicine, advanced diagnostics, lifestyle medicine, IV nutrient therapies, and innovative wellness technologies. One of those advanced therapies is Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation (EBOO)—a physician-supervised wellness therapy that may be incorporated into individualized care plans when appropriate.
Long before EBOO became widely available in the United States, Medical Director Dr. John Monhollon recognized its potential as part of a comprehensive integrative approach to wellness. Today, FLIMC has performed thousands of physician-supervised EBOO procedures for patients from throughout Florida, across the United States, and internationally, reflecting years of clinical experience integrating EBOO into personalized wellness programs.

Why Experience Matters
When considering an advanced therapy like EBOO, experience matters.
Florida Integrative Medical Center was among the earliest medical practices in the United States to incorporate EBOO into patient care. This depth of experience reflects years of refining treatment protocols, evaluating patients individually, and integrating EBOO into comprehensive wellness plans tailored to each person's needs.
Experience extends far beyond operating sophisticated technology. It includes knowing when EBOO may be appropriate, when another therapy may be a better choice, and how to develop personalized recommendations based on a patient's medical history, laboratory findings, current health concerns, and wellness goals.
Our philosophy has never been to recommend more treatment.
Our philosophy is to recommend the right treatment for the individual sitting in front of us.

Why Patients Trust Florida Integrative Medical Center
At Florida Integrative Medical Center, EBOO is never viewed as a stand-alone therapy. It is offered as part of a personalized, physician-directed approach to health and wellness that begins with understanding the whole person—not simply a diagnosis or a collection of symptoms.
Under the leadership of Medical Director Dr. John Monhollon, FLIMC was among the earliest medical practices in the United States to incorporate EBOO into patient care. As one of the first physicians in the country to offer this advanced therapy, Dr. Monhollon has spent years integrating EBOO into individualized wellness programs and has helped establish FLIMC as one of the nation's most experienced EBOO practices.
Every patient begins with a comprehensive evaluation that considers medical history, current health concerns, laboratory findings, medications, lifestyle, and wellness goals before any therapy recommendations are made.
Dr. Monhollon is a board-certified family medicine physician with more than 25 years of clinical experience in integrative and functional medicine. In addition to his extensive medical background, he has completed advanced physician training in Lyme disease and tick-borne illness management through the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) and has served as a physician mentor for healthcare providers pursuing advanced Lyme-focused education.
When appropriate, EBOO may be incorporated into a broader physician-directed wellness strategy that can also include advanced diagnostic testing, IV nutrient therapies, ozone-based therapies, lifestyle recommendations, nutritional support, primary care, and other personalized wellness services.
Our goal is not simply to recommend therapies. It is to help patients better understand their health, identify factors that may be influencing their overall well-being, and develop an individualized plan that supports long-term wellness and quality of life.
Because every patient is unique, treatment recommendations are always based on a comprehensive clinical evaluation and thoughtful physician judgment—not a one-size-fits-all approach.

I discovered FLIMC while researching SOT treatments for Lyme. The person who attended me was kind, patient, and spent over 20 minutes discussing my situation and explaining the therapy. Unlike other places that charged high fees just for a consultation, FLIMC made me feel supported from the start.
Eventually, I chose to do Ozone EBOO therapy along with exosomes. These cutting-edge treatments are offered at only a few clinics nationwide.
Everyone at FLIMC is friendly, caring, and focused on safety. I’m still undergoing treatment, but I highly encourage anyone with complex chronic illnesses to reach out to Florida Integrative Medical Center.
Understanding EBOO Therapy
EBOO (Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation) is an advanced ozone-based wellness therapy that circulates blood through a specialized extracorporeal system before returning it to the body. During treatment, physician-directed protocols may incorporate medical-grade oxygen, ozone, advanced blood filtration, and ultraviolet (UV) light technology.
At Florida Integrative Medical Center, EBOO is provided as part of a personalized, physician-supervised wellness plan—not as a stand-alone therapy. Every care recommendation is based on each patient's health history, laboratory findings, and wellness goals.

What Does EBOO Stand For?
EBOO stands for Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation.
- Extracorporeal – Outside the body
- Blood Oxygenation – Blood is exposed to oxygen as it circulates through the treatment system
- Ozonation – Controlled use of medical-grade ozone during treatment
Unlike a standard IV infusion, EBOO continuously circulates blood through a specialized treatment system before it is returned to the body.
Advanced Full-Spectrum EBOO Technology
FLIMC utilizes a full-spectrum EBOO system that may integrate:
- Medical-grade oxygen
- Medical-grade ozone
- Advanced blood filtration
- Ultraviolet (UV) light technology
These physician-directed technologies work together throughout the treatment session as part of an individualized wellness plan designed around each patient's unique needs.
How Does EBOO Work?
Every EBOO therapy begins with a comprehensive medical evaluation to determine whether the procedure is appropriate for your individual health goals.
Step 1 | Personalized Consultation
Your physician reviews your medical history, current health concerns, laboratory findings, medications, and wellness objectives before developing an individualized care plan.
Step 2 | Gentle Blood Circulation
Two IV access points are typically placed, allowing blood to circulate continuously through the EBOO system while you relax comfortably throughout the session.
Step 3 | Integrated Treatment Process
As blood moves through the system, physician-directed protocols may incorporate oxygenation, medical-grade ozone, specialized filtration, and ultraviolet (UV) light technology before the blood is continuously returned to your body.
Step 4 | Completion & Recovery
Throughout the procedure, our medical team closely monitors your comfort and progress. After treatment, your physician provides individualized recommendations based on your personalized wellness plan.
Dr. Monhollon was able to determine I had Lyme’s Disease as well as several infections and parasites. They drew my blood and sent it to Vibrant Labs. After a few weeks, the blood work returned describing the strains of Lymes and the co-infections that made me so sick. Dr Monhollon explained that they didn’t sell ‘packages’ and we were able to afford all the treatments he recommended. I immediately began infusions to strengthen me and blood was drawn for my first SOT. Since it takes a while for it to come back from Greece, they used this time for several EBOO treatments that made such a difference. That was my turning point. I went pleasure shopping for the first time and had hope for the first time.
I had a total of 3 SOT’s along with the EBOO’s. By April I was feeling really good.
Now it is mid-November and I feel like a new person. I do many physical activities now on a regular basis and haven’t had a nap in months. My husband can’t keep up with me and he hasn’t had to cook, clean or grocery shop since last spring! We couldn’t be more happy !!!
When I first arrived at Florida Integrative Medical Center I was hopeless. Now I have my life back!
Thanks for all of the meticulous expert care I received. All the staff was so friendly and supportive. I just can’t thank them enough. You will always have a special place in my heart.

How Is EBOO Different from Other Ozone Therapies?
| Many Ozone Therapies | EBOO Therapy |
|---|---|
| Treat smaller volumes of blood | Continuously circulates blood throughout the treatment session |
| May use one or two therapeutic technologies | Integrates oxygenation, medical-grade ozone, filtration, and UV light into one coordinated process |
| Often performed in separate treatment cycles | Continuous extracorporeal circulation from beginning to end |
| May be appropriate for certain patients | Physician determines whether EBOO or another therapy best fits your individual needs |
Every patient is unique. During your consultation, our physicians will determine whether EBOO—or another therapy—is the most appropriate option based on your health history, clinical evaluation, and wellness goals.
Is EBOO Right for Everyone?
EBOO is an advanced physician-supervised wellness therapy, but it is not appropriate for every patient or every health concern.
At Florida Integrative Medical Center, no one is scheduled for EBOO without first completing a comprehensive medical evaluation. During your consultation, our physicians review your medical history, current health concerns, medications, laboratory findings, and wellness goals to determine whether EBOO—or another therapy—may be the most appropriate option.
In some cases, EBOO may become one component of a personalized wellness plan. In others, a different therapy or combination of therapies may better align with your individual needs.
Our commitment is simple: to recommend the care that is right for you—not a one-size-fits-all approach.
If you're interested in learning whether EBOO may be appropriate for your health goals, we invite you to schedule a consultation with our experienced medical team.
What Can Patients Expect During an EBOO Session?
The treatment experience may vary based on individual protocols and physician recommendations.
Generally, patients can expect:
- A consultation and medical evaluation
- Intravenous access placement
- Continuous monitoring throughout the procedure
- A treatment session that may last several hours
- Post-treatment recommendations tailored to their wellness goals
Many patients choose to relax, read, listen to music, or work remotely during treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is EBOO therapy?
EBOO stands for Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation. It is an advanced wellness therapy that circulates blood through a specialized extracorporeal system where it is oxygenated, exposed to medical-grade ozone according to established protocols, and passed through filtration components before being returned to the body.
How does EBOO work?
During an EBOO session, blood circulates through a closed-loop extracorporeal system designed for oxygenation, ozone administration, and filtration. The procedure is performed under medical supervision as part of an individualized wellness plan.
How is EBOO different from other ozone therapies?
Unlike some ozone-based therapies that treat smaller amounts of blood intermittently, EBOO continuously circulates blood through an extracorporeal system throughout the treatment session, allowing larger blood volumes to be processed.
How long does an EBOO session take?
Treatment times vary depending on the protocol used and the individual's care plan. Most sessions take several hours and include physician oversight and monitoring by trained medical staff.
What can patients expect during an EBOO session?
Patients typically receive a consultation and evaluation prior to treatment. During the session, blood circulates through the EBOO system while patients relax, read, work remotely, or listen to music. Treatment recommendations are individualized based on health history and wellness goals.
Is EBOO right for everyone?
No. EBOO may not be appropriate for every individual. A consultation with a qualified healthcare provider is necessary to determine whether the therapy is appropriate based on medical history, current health status, medications, and wellness objectives.
Is EBOO offered under physician supervision?
Yes. At Florida Integrative Medical Center, EBOO is provided under the direction of Dr. John Monhollon, MD and the FLIMC medical team as part of a personalized wellness program.
Can EBOO be combined with other wellness therapies?
Depending on individual circumstances, EBOO may be incorporated into a broader wellness strategy that can include IV nutrient therapies, ozone-based therapies, advanced diagnostic testing, lifestyle recommendations, and other personalized wellness services.
